Friends of Bridges Campaign BBQ - 24.08.08
The Friends of Bridges Campaign are trying to raise £150.000 for a children's playground in Warton. They are holding a barbecue at the Pickwick Tavern in Warton on the 24/08/08 to raise money. All are welcome. In support of the event they desperately need someone to do either Face Painting or Balloon Modelling for the children. Rawstorne Sports Centre - 25.08.08
Support local sport in Freckleton. On Bank Holiday Monday the 25th August the Rawstorne Sports Centre are holding an open day. There are taster sessions in Football, Cricket, Tennis, Rounders, Volleyball, Netball, Basketball and Athletics. From 11:00am to 8:00pm. Happy Hour at 6:00pm. Childrens Disco from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Freckleton Half Marathon - 22.06.08
A record number of entries have been accepted for the 2008 Freckleton Half Marathon. Entry is now closed. The only way that a place can be obtained is by getting a number of someone who is not running and completing a Race Transfer Form. The race organisers are not handling this.

Family Fun Run - 22.06.08
Freckleton Club Day Sports Committee will be holding the 2 mile Family Fun Run in conjuntion with the Half Marathon on Sunday 22nd June.

Ladies Night Fund-Raiser - 02.05.08
Freckleton Pre-school are having a Ladies Night with many exhibitors to appeal to the needs of all ages of local ladies, to raise funds for the pre-school. Glass of wine on arrival, raffle, sales, information and freebies.

On Saturday the 7th July ducks will be seen swimming in a race down the Dow Brook in aid of Holy Trinity Church Funds. The ducks will come under starter's orders at 2pm. However, each duck requires a specific sponsor before being allowed to take part! Could you help by sponsoring one or more for a modest sum? Tickets can be purchased from Holy Trinity Church. On the day - have some fun - bring a picnic and come along to cheer your duck(s) to the winning post!

Terry and Gail Brown of the Freckleton Rover Centre are currently organising a fund raising event in aid of the Freckleton Younger Years. This sounds like a great event with lots of fun for all the family. All proceeds will go towards the building of the new Youth Club in Freckleton. Parish Council Meeting - 09.01.06
The next Freckleton Parish Council meeting will be held on the 09.01.06 in the Village Hall starting at 07:10pm.

Freckleton Band - 26.12.05
The band will be doing the usual carol playing concert at The Coach and Horses (Ponkys) in Freckleton. Starting at around 1:00pm until they get tired sometime later.

Seniors Christmas Disco - 23.12.05
To be held in the Village Hall 7:00 - 9:00pm.

Freckleton Band Concert - 20.12.05
The band have the usual OAP concert in the Village Hall on Tues, 20th Dec. It starts at 8-15pm and finishes at 9-15pm. Straight after this the band are dividing into sections to play carols at The Ship Inn and The Coach and Horses. The carolling starts at 9-30pm until 10-00pm.

Parish Council Meeting - 12.12.05
The Parish Council Meeting has been moved from the 5th December to the 12th December due to a clash with the Fylde Borough meeting. The next Freckleton Parish Council meeting will therefore be held on the 12.12.05 in the Village Hall starting at 07:10pm.

Xmas Tree Lighting - 06.12.05
The traditional yearly xmas event. Commences at 7:00pm. The Xmas tree lighting will be preceeded by a torchlight procession, by the Parish Council and the Youth organsiations from the Village Hall. Following the Xmas tree lighting and carols there will be the customary supper in the village hall.

Xmas Concert - 04.12.05
The yearly xmas concert at the Freckleton Methodist Church by the Freckleton Brass Band. The Concert starts at 6:30pm.

Slipper Swap - 02.11.05
New slippers for old on a first come, first served, in person only basis. For all older persons residing in the Fylde borough. Enjoy a coffee, chat with friends or make new ones in the Community lounge at Croft Court. Prize Bingo and Raffle - 02.11.05
Organised and on behalf of Holy Trinity Church at the Freckleton Sports and Social Club. Doors open at 7.00pm and eyes down at 8.00pm for an enjoyable evening. Cost is 60p including one book of tickets

Halloween Party - 01.11.05
Under cover in a gazebo in Freckelton Memorial Park. Prize for best dressed fancy dress and pumpkins. Music, cake and cookie decorating, face painting etc. Starts at 7.00pm and finishes at 9.00pm. Hosted by Moira, Emma and Leanne. Lancashire County Council Youth and Community Service. Free?

OAP's Concert - 18.10.05
The Freckleton Brass Band will be holding the annual OAP's concert in the Village Hall starting at 8:30pm.

Ceilidh Night - 15.10.05
Featuring 'Mooncoyn'. Hot pot supper (bring your own booze) in the village hall 7:30pm till late. Admission is by ticket only. Tickets (£10 each) are available from committee members or contact Sue or Harry on 01772 632587

Freckleton In Bloom Planting - 08.10.05

Holy Trinity Garden Party - 17.09.05
The annual Holy Trinity garden party will be opened by the Rose Queen at the Freckleton C of E School. The party starts at 2:00pm with Stalls, Raffle, Displays, Games, Sideshows, Bouncy Castle, Refreshments, Tombola, Hot Dogs etc.

Family History Evening - 21.09.05
A family history evening is being held in the Freckleton Library, with a talk by Eileen Wood who lives in the village. Eileen has spent a lot of time tracing her family history. She is very knowledgeable and is a good speaker. This is aimed at people who are interested in starting on their own family history or are already doing research. It is planned to have a drop in session on the third Tuesday morning of every month where people can come and use the computers or talk to others if they are having problems with their research. It is not a teaching group but library staff will be on hand to help if they can.

Night of the Proms Concert - 01.09.05
The Freckleton Brass Band will be performing outside the Coach & Horses pub. 8-00pm start. Free admission.

Freckleton In Bloom - 12.07.05
Freckleton will be inspected on the 13.07.05. There will be a final tidy-up on Tuesday 12.07.05. The clean-up party is meeting at the War Memorial at 6:00pm for a final clean and tidy round. All welcome (bring a brush and shovel).

Thomas Abbot Appeal - 09.07.05
A Charity Fun Day in Aid of Baby Beat at the Coach & Horses. Attractions include a 3 legged fun run, Bronco Bull ride, Hog roast, Tombola, Raffles, Auction, Bouncy Castle, Nail Art and Hair Braiding. Sponsor forms for the 3 legged fun run can be collected from the Coach & Horses.

Car Boot Fund Raiser - 10.07.05
The Freckleton Younger Years Committee will be holding a Car Boot Fund Raiser at the Bush Lane Playing Fields to raise funds for the Youth Group. <more>.

Freckleton Band Concert - 07.07.05
The Freckleton Band will be giving a concert on the Coach and Horses car park starting at 8:00pm to celebrate the VE & VJ anniversary. They will be playing all 'Big Band' sound music.

Rock FM Quiz Night - 05.07.05
The Plough is holding a Rock FM Quiz night with DJ Darren Spence. The quiz is £2 per entry and all proceeds go to the 'Help a local Child' charity.

Strawberry Tea - 02.07.05
A Strawberry Tea is being held at 'Quernmore', Naze Lane on Saturday 2nd July in aid of Freckleton Methodist Church Funds. There will be a Bring & Buy Stall, Cake Stall and Tombola. Tickets are £3 and are available from any member of the Latham family or via the Freckleton Methodist Church.

Beauty Basixs - 04.07.05
Beauty Basixs have moved to new premises at 19 Lytham Road. There is an open evening on Monday 4th July starting at 7:00pm with free raffle and refreshments.
