Freckleton Library - 2013
Thursday 19th December – Christmas Stories by Candlelight. 5.45-6.45pm. Listen to Stories, poems and songs and have a go at our Christmas Quiz.  Mulled wine and mince pies for adults and juice and gingerbread for the children. Free tickets available at the library.
Friday 20th December – Xmas Bounce and Rhyme – Enjoy singing Christmas songs and rhymes with your baby. 10:00am.

Christmas Tree Lighting - 03.12.13
The Christmas tree lighting will take place on the Tuesday 3rd of December at 7.00pm. The procession will start from the Memorial park, and only those actively involved in the celebrations will be admitted to the memorial gardens. Following the Tree Lighting refreshments and a small gift for the children will be available in the memorial hall.

Freckleton Library - 2013
Tuesday 29th October - Spooky Storytime and craft session for Halloween at 2:00pm for children age 5-10. This is free but tickets are available from the library.
Thursday 21st November - 'A Georgian Debtors Prison'. A talk by Colin Penny, Lancaster museum historian. The talk is at 7pm but refreshments will be served at 6.30pm. Free tickets are available in the library.
Thursday 28th November - Freckleton Knit and Natter Christmas Sale. The knitting group will be displaying and selling their lovely knitted items. Some good ideas for Xmas presents. Enjoy a coffee while you browse. Phone the library on  08450 530005 for more details.

Freckleton Brownies - 13.11.13
Freckleton brownies are celebrating 80 years on the 13th November 2013 and are having a birthday party at the Memorial hall from 6.30-8pm and would like to invite all ex brownies, leaders and brown owls, and anyone else who is interested.

Freckleton C of E Open Day - 23.10.13
Open Day for New Intake September 2014 Wednesday 23rd October 9.30am to 10.30 am, 2pm to 3pm or 6pm to 7pm. Please come along and see what we have to offer; we also have a limited number of places available in other year groups. Thursday 10th October – 'Changing tracks'. Fylde Railways Over the Last 50 Years. A talk and slideshow at 7pm. Refreshments will be served prior to the talk at 6.30pm.
Tuesday 15th October – Come and join us for our 1960's Reminiscence Event at the library from 10am-1pm . Share your memories of the 1960's with others over a cup of tea or coffee. Lancashire Museums  service  are providing memory boxes to help bring your memories to life!

Harlequins Presents - 27/28.09.13
Murder Murder Mystery Event "Come Fly Die With Me". Come along and meet Blossom & Petunia who will welcome you at the arrivals/departure lounge of Freckleton's newest budget airline "Chirpy Chirpy Cheap". Lots of fun and surprises are in store. Question the suspects and determine who did it and why, with a prize for the correct solution. Freckleton Band 'Ponkys Proms Concert' - 05.09.12
The Freckleton Brass Band will be performing at the Coach and Horses Car Park (weather permitting) on Thursday 5th Spetember. The concert starts at 8:00pm. Free admission. Bring a chair, a flag and a friend if you wish.

Freckleton Library - Summer 2013
Monday 30th July – Creepy crafts Workshop. Come and join in with our creepy crafts and games at this fun workshop for 6-11 year olds. Help create a creepy collage. See who can be the fastest to wrap their friends up like an Egyptian mummy!  2-3.30pm. Entrance by ticket only.
Thursday 1st August – How to train a Guide Dog Puppy – a talk by Barbara Wildish. Come and meet a guide dog puppy and find out what it's like to train a guide dog. 2-3pm. Entrance by ticket only.
Wednesday 7th August – 'Dragon Workshop'.   A fun workshop for children on the theme of dragons run by the Lancashire Museums Heritage Team. Suitable for 5-10 year olds. Tickets £2.00 available at the library.
Friday 9th August – Spooky Time Workshop. Come to the library and listen to scary stories. See who can write the spookiest and most spine tingling  story or poem. Scare your friends and make a spooky mask! Or make your own scary monster.  There will be a drink and biscuit at the end of the session. 2-3.30pm. Entrance by ticket only.
Saturday 17th August – Come and join in with our Creepy Crawly Craft workshop and Storytime. Listen to stories and rhymes. Create your very own creepy crawlies - make spiders, bats, snakes and caterpillars. There will be drinks and biscuits to finish the session. Entrance by ticket only.
Monday 19th August – YMCA Mend Kids Get Active. Session for children age 7-13. Learn about healthy eating and join in with fun exercises. Healthy snacks and drinks to finish.    Entrance by ticket only.

Rememberance Service - 23.08.13
A short service of remembrance will be held at the Children's grave 10.30 – 10.45am on Friday 23rd August to mark the 69th anniversary of the tragic plane crash. All are welcome to attend.

Freckleton Brass Band Charity Concert - 07.07.13
On Sunday 7th July the Freckleton Brass Band are performing a Grand Charity Concert in aid of Lytham St Annes Friends of Trinity Hospice and Wrea Green Lifeboat. At Kirkham Grammar School starting at 7:30pm. See <poster> for full details.

Freckleton Village Singers Celebrating - 22.06.13
Freckleton Village Singers are celebrating their 40th  anniversary on Saturday 22nd June 2013 in The Village Hall starting at 7:30pm. Price for the tickets is £6 including supper. Freckleton Band 'Outdoor Concert' - 27.06.13
The Freckleton Brass Band will be performing at the Coach and Horses on Thursday 27th June. The Junior Band will also be performing. The concert starts at 8:00pm. Free admission. Bring chairs and friends for an enjoyable evening (weather permitting).

Nordic Walking Free Taster - 18.06.13
A free Nordic Walking taster to be held on the Rawstorne Playing Fields on Tuesday 18th June 2013 at 9:15am. Booking is essential <Poster>

Freckleton Club Day - 15.06.13
Freckleton Club Day will take place on Saturday 15th June commencing at 9am.
The procession route is Kirkham Road to Strike Lane returning to Lytham Road as far as Derwent Drive on to Ribble Ave, Bush lane, Naze Lane, Croft Butt's Lane, Preston Old Road to Marsh Gates and returning up to the village centre to Freckleton C of E School for the crowning of the Holy Trinity Rose Queen. If the weather is wet a shorter route may be used. This will be assessed on the morning of the procession. After the crowning ceremony, the queens and church representatives will walk to the village cenotaph to lay flowers and then on to the Children's grave in the village graveyard, marking the tragedy of the 23rd August 1944.
In the afternoon the Freckleton Club Day Sports Committee take over the proceedings, this year they celebrate 50 years of organising the Children's and Adults sports.
2013 marks a new era in terms of policing as the police are unable to marshal the event in the usual way and therefore the road closure order will be in place from 9am -12 noon or until the procession, crowning and laying of flowers at the War memorial and Children's grave are completed. Freckleton Half Marathon - 16.06.13

Freckleton Fun Run - 16.06.13

Freckleton C of E Spring Fair - 18.05.13
WISHES (PTFA) of Freckleton C of E School are holding a Spring Fair at the Freckleton C of E school on Saturday 18th May 11:00am to 2:00pm. Harlequins Presents - 31.05 / 01.06
Inspector Drake and The Time Machine, this new adventure by the intrepid duo is a wonderfully absurd and ludicously silly, farcical comedy. APRIL MOON at The Plough - 15.03.13
Canadian classic rock duo, APRIL MOON (formerly of the Magic Trees) will be entertaining at the Plough on Friday, March 15, 2013.  Their live show features blistering, bluesy electric guitar, tight vocal harmonies and sweet, jangly acoustic guitar.  The high-energy duo will be covering songs from favourite artists such as Fleetwood Mac, the Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Kinks, the Beatles, David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, the Police, the Doors and Queen.
Admission is free.  Music will start around 9:30pm and finish up at last orders.  Bring your dancing shoes!
