The missing cat has been found in Blackburn. How he got there is unknown.

Freckleton C of E school : Violins - 11.10.09
The Freckleton C of E school have seven 'beginners' violins which are surplus to requirements. The violins are in need of re-stringing and some TLC. They are available in exchange for a small donation to the school. Please contact the school if you are interested.

Oscar, a dearly loved 4 year old Birman Seal Point cat (cream and chocolate coloured, with blue eyes). Last seen on Calder Avenue on Thursday 22nd October. Young Football Players - 01.09.09
Warton Typhoons Under 9’s Football team are currently in need of players (boys or girls) for the new season, which starts this month. Specifically they need players that are just starting in Year 4 at School. Matches are played every Saturday morning throughout the season (September to April) around the Fylde area. They train every Friday evening (6pm-7pm) at Bank Lane Sports Field in Warton. No previous Football experience is necessary, just a love of the game. There is currently no junior Football club in Freckleton, so for children in the village this is their nearest team. Cuban Salsa Lesson - 01.09.09
A new Salsa class is starting on the 9th September at 8:00pm and every Wednesday after at the same time. It will be held in the Freckleton Methodist Church hall. <more>

The Milkshake Hut has now opened at 25 Naze Lane serving Milkshakes and Smoothies. They have a wide selection of flavours to excite your tastebuds! <more>

Dawn Hare is providing a Drawing and Quantifying service in the village. She can provide help with building, extending and conversions etc. <more>

FBC Dog Control Order - 10.07.09
It should be noted that Fylde Borough Council (FBC) have not yet completed the process required to issue the proposed Dog Control Order. The review meeting is being held in September. More details can be found on the FBC web site. The statement in the Parish Newsletter that the FBC 'will' shortly be introducing a dog control order is incorrect. The Parish Council will be issuing a correction in the next Newsletter.

Club Day Weekend - 23.06.09

Our congratulations go to Allan, Pippa and family of Allens Garden Landscapes on the birth of their son, Ben Elliot, born on Monday the 8th June 2009.

Radioactive Waste at Clifton Marsh - 16.06.09
It is reported that waste management company SITA have requested permission to accept low level radioactive waste from a wider range of nuclear facilities for dumping on the Clifton Marsh site. Two public exhibitions will be held at the Freckleton Methodist Hall - on Monday July 6 (1pm-8pm) and Tuesday July 7 (10am-4pm) - to explain the proposals and give people a chance to comment before any application is submitted.

Freckleton Half Marathon - 20.05.09

Dog bye laws change - 06.04.09
Fylde Borough Council are upgrading their bye laws relating to control of dogs. The first phase will be implemented shortly, and includes dogs being on leads in Freckleton Memorial Park. More information can be found on the Fylde Borough Council web site by <clicking here>.

Freckleton Sports & Social - 06.04.09
From Monday 6th April, the club will be open from 5:00pm Monday - Friday.

BAES Planning Application Public Enquiry - 10.03.09
The public enquiry into the planning application from BAE Systems which would have seen a business park, hotel, pub, restaurant, and shops built on land between Warton and Freckleton will take place on Tuesday the 10th March 2009 at the Bedford Hotel in St Annes. It was reported at the Parish Council meeting that Fylde Borough will not be defending the planning refusal! <more>

Bush Lane residents 'up in arms' Update - 24.02.09
The fencing for the dog enclosure has gone! Are the dog owners going to be 'up in arms' next? Watch this space!

Dog Control Order - 24.02.09
Freckleton Parish Council has made a dog control Order under section 55 of the above Act, in relation to Bush Lane Playing Fields and the Order comes into force on 1st March 2009. More details can be found on the Parish Council site or the full order can be found by <clicking here>

More closures - 16.02.09
Switch and Vehicle Options, both on Lytham road, appear to have closed. Both shops are again available for rent.

Bush Lane residents 'up in arms' - 16.02.09
The new dog enclosure on the Bush Lane playing fields has not proved popular with residents who overlook it! A special meeting is being held to discuss a resolution.

Dog Fouling Fine - 12.01.09
It was reported at the Parish Council meeting that a Freckleton resident has been found guilty and fined £100 for allowing dog fouling, £100 for being out without the dog being under control, £100 costs and £15 victim support making a total of £315.00.
