Rawstorne Sports Centre - Conference Facilities
The Rawstorne Sports Centre can now offer facilities for conference or seminars from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.0pm. A boardroom layout is available to seat a maximum of 20 people, or seminar seating for a maximum of 40 people. <more>

FRECKLETON VILLAGE SINGERS NEED YOU! - September 2014
We are a very happy band of singers, and enjoy rehearsing each Thursday evening at The Methodist Church hall. We sing all different types of music, from pop to classical pieces, with jazz and show tunes also included in the mix. We offer a friendly welcome, no audition and lots of support if you are new to singing in a choir We have several performance commitments each year, culminating in a wonderful, popular Christmas concert. Freckleton Club Day, Half-marathon and FunRun - 24.06.14
The pictures of the Club Day Procession, the Half-marathon and the Fun Run anre now on the site. It was a good weekend, the weather was lovely if a little warm for running. The Procession pictures are <here>, the Half-marathon pictures <here> and the Fun Run <here>.

Freckleton Club Day Procession re-routed - 14.06.14
The three church committee submitted the risk assessment and application at the end of January 2014 and were told in May that it would not be possible to go up Kirkham Road as the bypass cannot be closed for the 20 mins it requires.

Fylde Council referendum - 22.05.14
Fylde Council has received a petition seeking to change the council's existing leader and cabinet system of governance to a committee system. Under the Localism Act 2011 and other legislation, the council must now hold a referendum about the proposal. The referendum will be held on 22 May this year, in conjunction with the European Parliamentary election <more>

Freckleton in Bloom - 23.03.14
A campaign has been started by Freckleton in Bloom to plant real poppies to coincide with the WW1 centenary. The bright red Flanders poppies, also known as corn poppies, will be planted all over Freckleton in spring for flowering late July/early August. We would like to see the whole village blooming with real Flanders poppies during August and invite you all to join in this commemoration; all you have to do is scatter poppy seeds over your garden <Poster>.

Community Notice board vandalised - 25.02.14
We have been informed that the Community notice board has been damaged and the left hand side glass door has been forced open. The only missing notice is the one relating to the report on the drilling on the marsh. Should anyone have missed the notice prior to its removal the report is available on the Parish Council web site. <here>

70's Rock Band Reforming - 23.02.14
There is a really good 70's Rock Band Reforming in the village and they need an experienced female/male singer to complete the band. The right person out there should help to make this a bit special as its progressing very well, we all get on and have plenty of fun too! James R. Hedtke, a professor of history and political science at Cabrini College who lives in Broomall, Pennsylvania has published a new book about the disaster.
